Leadership Bonita Alumni Share Experiences

Are you interested in taking your leadership skills to the next level? Read about the experiences of our Alumni to learn about the benefits of the program:

Habitat Build 12.2015 “I cannot say enough good things about the total experience. The benefits have been immeasurable and far reaching. I don’t think there is a week (and sometimes a day) that goes by that I don’t talk to or see someone that was a benefit of participating in Bonita Leadership. I have met or been introduced to so many people in the community thanks to the program.” – Allen Furrer, Mr. Handyman (Class of 2015)

“Shortly after my wife and I relocated back to Florida, I decided to select a chamber that was close to my home so that I could become active in my community and make a difference. Leadership Bonita provided me with a gateway to build connections for business and make friends for life. Since leaving the program, my wife and I have become more engaged in civic government, have given back to the community philanthropically and have made Bonita Springs our first-choice when purchasing our first home. – Tony Lee, FGCU (Class of 2015)

Leadership Bonita“The program has been instrumental for me in both my career, as a Vice President for EverBank, and my personal life.  The program showed me the potential I had to be a leader at work and in my community. You will always treasure this experience” -Jeanne Burmeister, EverBank (Class of 2007)

Leadership Bonita is a nine month leadership and educational program designed to prepare the next generation of Southwest Florida leaders. The program delves into facets of the local community including government, education, economic development, healthcare, tourism, arts and culture, media, public safety, and social issues.

Your experience won’t end with graduation. Relationships you’ve made will last for years to come, and you’ll have to opportunity to cultivate more at alumni events and reunions.
