Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon Chamber Members Honored

We recently hosted our Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club with over 220 people in attendance.

The program featured a “State of the Chamber” address by outgoing Chairman of the Board, Dr. Owen Feeney, Jr., Bonita Estero Dental Group, who highlighted the many successes of the organization over the past year.

He recognized Committee Members for their dedication to the Chamber as well as those who have chaired divisions. Outgoing Board Members Darren Robertshaw, Trianon Bonita Bay and Dr. Beth Hagan, Associates in Entrepreneurship Education were also honored.

Brian Farrar, BCF Management Group, Chairman Elect, also presented his 2009 – 2010 business plan and goals for the upcoming year and introduced incoming Board Members. Chairman Farrar will begin his term on October 1, 2009.

Chairman Feeney presented four prestigious awards including the Pat Lord Award for Volunteerism and Service Stewardship. The Pat Lord Award is presented in the memory of Pat Lord, a long time Chamber advocate who set the example for volunteerism.  This award was incepted in 2006 to recognize the Chamber Member that personifies community service.
