Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), located in Estero just north of Bonita Springs, is a major influence in Bonita Springs’ booming business development and population growth. FGCU offers 20 graduate and 37 undergraduate programs through four colleges.

Ave Maria University located in East Naples, the first Cathloic University to be built in the U.S. in 40 years, offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts plus graduate programs in theology and exceptional education.

Edison College offers Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees as well as various certificate programs. International College with campuses in Naples and Fort Myers offers two and four-year science degrees in career-related disciplines.
