Our Chamber is committed to the proactive, professional development of our community’s up-and-coming future leaders. These are the folks excelling in their industry and setting their sights on leadership roles within their organizations, in the public, private, and independent (non-profit) sectors. We find it extremely important to guide these individuals and help them develop into world-class leaders who can make positive contributions in the future in our region.

To make this happen, our Chamber facilitates the Leadership Bonita Program, now in its 17th year, which has graduated over 300 informed benevolent leaders. The purpose of the program is to provide quality leadership training and to introduce participants to how the interconnected engine of our community runs. The nine month program kicks off with a two-day leadership training retreat, complete with DISC personality assessments, group exercises, inspiring presenters, and more. Following the retreat, participants embark on 9 day-long discovery trips getting behind the scenes looks at the regions media outlets, water management facilities, the ecological environment, public services, healthcare system, economic development initiatives, and public safety systems.
