The actions of our elected officials have a tremendous impact on the business environment and the quality of life in our region. The Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce has long been the voice for business with our local government officials with whom we have established a positive working relationship.
Our government affairs staff consultant monitors the City of Bonita Springs and Lee County council meetings to keep us up-to-date on business-related issues. We encourage our members to contact their local elected officials and to let us know when our business advocacy is required on their behalf.
At the state level, each spring we visit our legislative delegation in Tallahassee during “Lee County Days in Tallahassee” to communicate our local needs and to foster stronger relationships with our state elected officials and the Florida Chamber of Commerce staff.
Please review the policy statements, approved by the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, that enable us to represent your business interests in a proactive and timely manner. Questions regarding our governmental involvement can be directed to the chamber president, Christine Ross.
