MAY 6, 2020 – FORT MYERS, FLA — What are 10 things you need to build your college application during COVID-19? Is this the time to stay local? Should you still go to college? What do adult, degree-seeking students need to know and do right now? How do you appeal your financial aid decisions if a parent has lost a job?
Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) will launch “FSW Experts LIVE,” at noon on Thursday, May 6, to discuss these topics and more on the FSW College Facebook page.
“FSW Experts LIVE” sessions will be held every Thursday at noon throughout May. Sessions will feature FSW faculty and staff who will discuss current college-related topics and answer prospective and current students’ enrollment questions.
Amanda Sterk, Ed.D., will host the first “FSW Experts LIVE” session. Dr. Sterk is the director of Accelerated Pathways at FSW and author of the book “College UnMazed.” She is active in the FutureMakers Coalition, Southwest Florida’s Local College Access Network.
