Flightdocs expands its Bonita Springs business presence with new technology center opening

Flightdocs, the leading provider of cloud-based aircraft maintenance tracking, compliance and inventory management services, has expanded its Bonita Springs presence with a new technology center. The 6,200-square-foot facility houses nearly 40 developers and technology experts.

To celebrate the new technology center, Flightdocs is hosting a grand opening event Thursday, July 26.

“We are committed to investing in the modernization of aviation services and through those efforts, creating opportunities for members of the community,” said Rick Heine, chief executive officer of Flightdocs. “Flightdocs’ new technology center provides a rapid-response environment that enables our team to develop secure, custom solutions for clients worldwide and sets us apart from competitors – all from right here in Bonita Springs.”

Since relocating from New York to Southwest Florida in 2009, Flightdocs has experienced exponential growth and expansion. The company doubled in employee size to 65 and revenue is expected also to triple over the next two years. Flightdocs anticipates adding 35 employees over the next year. Their current location in Bonita Springs provides for plenty of room to expand as the company continues to grow.

The technology center’s Southwest Florida location is adjacent to abundant technology resources and talent, providing Flightdocs with a unique advantage in an area less known for software and IT companies. As a growing company, Flightdocs provides an opportunity for both local college students and graduates to get immediate on-the-job experience. The company currently employs 17 local college graduates and actively recruits from local institutions for its intern-development program, including Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida SouthWestern State College.

“The local universities have substantial information technology and engineering programs that align with the skill sets we seek in our team,” said Heine. “We can cultivate our own talent by having interns grow their skills under the direction of our software engineers. The resulting team of innovative thinkers and problem-solvers continually allows Flightdocs to advance its technological mission.”

Flightdocs provides mission-critical, cloud-based aviation maintenance, compliance, and inventory management Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. The company’s solutions help aircraft owners and operators track and manage the maintenance and airworthiness of their aircraft, comply with rigorous safety rules and regulatory guidelines, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and minimize asset downtime. Flightdocs’ customers include Fortune 1000 corporate flight departments, air charters, air medical providers, fractional aircraft operators, government agencies, and regional carriers. Headquartered in Bonita Springs, Fla., Flightdocs has been serving the aviation industry for over 15 years. Learn more at www.flightdocs.com.
