Gourmet Stud Muffins raise funds for Harry Chapin Food Bank

The Marco Island Men’s Cooking Club, aka the Gourmet Stud Muffins, announce that the club has raised a total of $28,458 for Harry Chapin Food Bank in 2019.

The Gourmet Stud Muffins meet several times each month at a member’s home to learn about food and preparation, cook and share a meal.

The accompanying photo shows the club at their holiday celebration, where they exchanged holiday cookies and finalized their fundraising effort in support of the food bank.

Harry Chapin Food Bank thanks the Gourmet Stud Muffins for creating their own fundraising recipe to help fight hunger. We appreciate their generous support!

About Harry Chapin Food Bank

Harry Chapin Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, is the largest hunger-relief organization in Southwest Florida. The food bank rescues food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it to families and others in need through a series of programs that feed 28,000 people a week.

For every dollar donated, the food bank can provide $8 in food value. In fiscal year 2018-19, Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed nearly 26.7 million pounds of food and other grocery items, including 6.4 million pounds of fresh produce. The food, valued at $42.8 million, is the equivalent of 22.2 million meals for people in need.

Harry Chapin Food Bank is a United Way partner agency. We are also proud to be named a Blueprint Partner by the Naples Children & Education Foundation, the founding organization of the Naples Winter Wine Festival.
