Lee Clerk of Court reducing hours at Bonita Springs location
FORT MYERS, FLA (Sept. 9, 2019) – To help meet the demand of customers in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, the Lee County Clerk of Court is reducing service hours at its Bonita Springs location starting Sept. 15, 2019. The branch location will be open Mondays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. – noon and 1:30-5 p.m. The office will no longer be open Tuesdays through Thursdays.
The Bonita Springs office, which provides recording services, has not met the anticipated demand in customers since it opened in January. Liens, mortgages, deeds, and other official records may still be recorded at the office. Customers may also pay civil traffic fines, apply for marriage licenses, and get married at the branch location.
“As good stewards of your tax dollars, we decided to reallocate our resources to best serve the public,” Doggett said. “With more deputy clerks at our busiest locations, we expect this change will provide our customers with shorter wait and processing times.”
Customers can conveniently view or file documents and court cases 24/7 at LeeClerk.org. Payments for court fines, child support, alimony, and tourist development tax can also be paid online.
