ESTERO, Fla. (August 15, 2019) – Shadow Wood Country Club’s Executive Chef Richard Crisanti was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs, the honor society of the American Culinary Federation, during the organization’s 48thannual national convention in Orlando earlier this month.
The AAC was established to recognize select chefs with outstanding achievements in the culinary profession and involvement in the ACF. Only 700 chefs in the nation have received this distinction.
“I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have been inducted into the American Academy of Chefs,” said Crisanti. “This milestone is quite humbling, and I am thankful to be a part of such an esteemed community.”
Crisanti, who joined the Shadow Wood Country Club team in 2013, has more than 25 years of industry experience. He recently completed a two-year term as president of the ACF Caxambas Chapter of Southwest Florida and currently serves as board chair. He is also a member of Disciples of Escoffier and the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
Crisanti is currently overseeing an expansion project at Shadow Wood Country Club that includes a brand new 260-seat restaurant and second 3,800 square foot kitchen. The new venue will bring a more casual dining concept to the members and include lite bites, a sushi bar, pizzas, and daily happy hours. The covered outdoor dining space, designed by the architectural firm Peacock + Lewis and under construction with DeAngelis Diamond, is anticipated to open November 2019.
A private, member-owned, financially sound club located in Estero, Shadow Wood Country Club includes three distinctly different championship golf courses, including Bob Cupp-designed & Rees Jones renovated Shadow Wood North and South, and the Arthur Hills-designed course at Shadow Wood Preserve.
