Friends of Lovers Key (FOLKS) has joined with the Americana Community Music Association (ACMA), to offer a series of monthly Free Acoustic concerts of all original music this upcoming season.
The concerts will take place in the large gazebo located right on the beach. Seating is available for the first 80 people. Additional seating is also available on the sand. www.friendsofloverskey.org
This months concert will feature Bill Veach, Alan Bradford, and Chakullah.
Bill Veach was a drummer in a rock band in college, but guitars are easier to move and make for better neighbors,, so he spent $100 of his precious college beer money on a flame red acoustic guitar. Moving was a part of his life for years, with a love of travel that is expressed in many of his songs. His songs are often autobiographical, about his experiences, travel, love, loss and some characters he has met on his journey.
Bill plays around Southwest Florida, both solo and as part of the Pearl Street Band.
Alan Bradford is a unique guitarist, and an old soul singer/songwriter. A musician who can deliver hours of covers, as well as original songs; he is an all around entertainer who can “read the crowd” and cater the music to their desires.
Alan started playing music while growing up in New Jersey, and had the opportunity to open for many touring professionals two of whom became great influences on his music ; Harry Chaplin and James Taylor.
Chakulla expresses his music with an organic grove of worldly rhythm’s, unique guitar cords, catchy and memorable melodies. He sings out with an acoustic guitar using a loop pedal enabling leads, harmonica, marimba, conga’s, percussion, and vocal percussion lines to manifest on the spot and live .
He is best described as the Folk/World/Jazz/Americana artist, and in his 4 decades of writing and playing music Chakulla has shared his music at concert venues seating 60,000 people, and in Clubs, at House concerts, Festivals, TV and radio appearances, and singing out in the streets.
